Scrum Master
Qualification: – Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline (Certified Scrum Master will be preferred)
Experience:
- 1-3 years as of demonstrable experience working as a Scrum Master (or related Agile approaches) in a software house.
- 3+ years working experience in an Agile development environment.
- Experience using various Agile/Scrum based tools for software methodology management. These include Team Foundation Server, Continuum tool stack etc.
Job Description:
- Guide and coach various product development teams with regards to Agile and Scrum practices, and their proper adoption and implementation.
- Track work progress and identify blockages, impediments, and development divergence from allocated tasks.
- Facilitate various scrum ceremonies and rituals. Manage and organize various product release events.
- Arrange daily stand-up meetings, facilitate meetings, schedule meetings, demo and decision-making processes to ensure quick inspection and proper use of adaptation process.
- Help product owner manage and groom the product backlog, and to generate both release and sprint backlogs. Guide the scrum teams during the sprint while monitoring burn-down, velocity and other sprint measures.
- Removing impediments or guiding the team to remove impediments by finding the right personnel to remove the impediment.
- Ensure the proper following of various Scrum rituals as part of the normal software development practice.
- Help assess the maturity of Scrum practices adopted in various organizational teams.
- Promote and foster an Agile mindset within the organization. Coordinate with various teams and departments as required.
- Conduct both organizational internal and organizational external sessions explaining the concepts of Agile and Scrum, and how to adopt them in both letter and spirit.
- Promote a safe and trusting environment where conflicts are managed without fear of repercussions.
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of Agile approaches – Kanban, Scrum, XP, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with various software engineering concepts, such as software development lifecycle, release management, automated testing, CI/CD, etc
