Shahzad Shahid is the CEO of TPS, a leading FinTech services company. His career spans across 15 years in the payments industry, working closely with banks, telecoms and payment processors across South Asia, Middle East and Africa. Shahzad believes that the customer is the key driver of change and customer convenience is going to rapidly bring paradigm shift in the way the banks operate today.
Shahzad is an inspiring, collaborative leader with strong influencing skills and the ability to motivate people. His multi-functional experience spans across management, strategy, business and product development, sales and marketing. Having been involved in strategic business partnerships and customer acquisition, he has led both top-line and bottom-line growth of TPS.
He holds in-depth knowledge about current and future market trends in FinTech including payments, cards, digital banking, mobile convergence, mobile money, branchless banking, e-commerce and remittances.
Since its inception in 1996, TPS has played a key role in mass adoption of electronic payments, particularly in South Asia. Under Shahzad’s leadership, TPS continues to play a critical role in the growth of the digital payments ecosystem across multiple regions.
Ovais Habib Khan
COO, TPS
Ovais Habib Khan has been involved in the payments industry since the past 15 years and currently serves as the COO at TPS, a leading FinTech services company.
Ovais has held key strategic positions in Software Development, Operations, Service Delivery and Innovation throughout his career at TPS. As COO, he is responsible for Change Management, Cost Efficiency through Lean Processes and ensuring that Business, Technology and Services are aligned to improve the financial indicators of the company.
Having been involved in Pre-sales to Project Management to align solutions with customer business objectives, Ovais has extensive experience in delivering projects to local and international customers. He has in-depth knowledge of Debit and Prepaid Cards, Mobility, Remittances, Alternate Delivery Channels and Middleware for Financial Systems.
Ovais travels extensively across multiple regions in Middle East, Africa, Europe and South Asia to further technical pre-sales, project implementation and oversee business expansion.
Ovais holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Computer Sciences from FAST-NUCES, one of the most prestigious institutions in Pakistan.
